The Faith and Future of Democracy Initiative is seeking to bring together a distinguished cohort of scholars committed to advancing understanding across religious and philosophical traditions. Our fellows will represent a diverse range of disciplines, backgrounds, and approaches, but all share a common goal: to explore the contours of religious and worldview pluralism with intellectual rigor and curiosity. Over the two years, this cohort of Templeton Pluralism Fellows will work side by side to exercise and ultimately embody the character virtues necessary to advance pluralism in their academic and professional lives.

This community of fellows will explore the place of deep religious commitment in a polarized cultural and political landscape. Please discuss the nature of your own faith commitments and how they might manifest themselves amidst religious and political difference? Can deep religious and political differences be transcended or overcome? In answering, please reflect on your own first principles: why do you believe what you believe?*

This is a competitive fellowship program. What are the primary reasons why you should be considered for admission? What makes your own capacity for scholarship, leadership, or activism genuinely distinctive?*
